The Reporter: Part 3

The Reporter Part3

“Sadie don’t,”

Jessies voice held a tense nervous tone about it. The rhythmic thundering of his heart pounding in his chest. But he knew, she wouldn’t listen. Sadie never listened to him even when she knew he was right.

Sadie scoffed as she followed the sound. The sound seeming to grow more and more intense with every foot fall forward the young brunette took.

Sadie stopped for a moment as she motioned for Jessie to keep filming. It was then, they heard the scuffle. Her dark eyes gazed toward the darkness as a a scream filled the one still room. The EMT’s running away from their work as one charged into the darkness. That oath to save a life far greater then any fear the young man knew.

“Keep filming Everything Jessie!”

Sadie could hear the sounds, the scuffling, the sound of wet cloth slapping into something unseen in the darkness.

“Sadie please, let’s get the fuck out of here!”

“Fuck you, this is the story of My career Jess. I won’t let you, or anything else stand in my goddamn way anymore!”

Sadie heard the crash downstair’s, as a few of the remaining survivors seemed to remain inside their apartments. The second EMT straining to see through the darkness.

“Ken? Ken are you still there? Answer me!”

The young man called out to his partner only to find dead silence answering him back. Another loud scuffle sounded and then, the darkness before them, was as silent as the building had been all this time. Only the pounding sound downstairs filling the dead silent area.

Sadie and Jessie followed by the remaining EMT Rushed downstair’s hoping somehow, Ken or someone would be there. Maybe help had come, maybe another reporting crew or, even the buildings landlord.

But what they saw, wasn’t help. It wasn’t someone coming to save them or get them out. It was a crew sent to seal them all inside.

The Reporter Part 2.

The street’s were still as Sadie reported her story. All the while, her dark chocolate brown eyes darting behind her camera man. Jessie felt tense but dared not to say anything to Sadie. He knew how big this story was to her.

“Reporting live stay tuned.”

Sadie closed er braodcast as she fixed the collar on her leather jacket. Save for the ambulance’s, and the few EMT’s rushing inside the building she felt so alone here. She’d never seen the city this…..Dead. So void of life as if her and Jessie were the only two people left alive in this whole goddamn city.

“Sadie, we should go inside get the shots and go ok?”

Sadies lip stuck out in a pout as her arms folded over her chest.

“I came here for a story Jessie. We aren’t leaving until the storys finished. Now, you can either see this through with me or go back to the station and wait for me got it?”

The young womans voice was shrill. Holding that drive she felt rushing inside herself right now. Sadie couldn’t be second best to Janet of all people. She’d have rather died then let that bitch win. Sadie motioned for Jessie to follow her, as the two made their way toward the building. It was quiet, not even the EMT’s seemed to be anywhere to be seen.

Sadie felt tense, she felt as though eyes were on her even though she saw nothing. Jessie turned the camera back on as Sadie ran a hand over her hair nervously. She’d never felt something like this before. The two moved one flight of stairs higher as they found the EMTs working on the scattered resident’s of the floor. Some were barely breathing, lingering only due to the tank’s hooked up to them.

Other’s were covered by sheets and far beyond their help. Jessie swallowed down the lump rising within his throat as he signaled Sadie.

“We’re back and reporting live. It seems the residents here have been affected far worse then originally expected. More then half are dead and other’s, are ungoing on the scene treatment’s. The situation is far worse then expected I reapet far worse.”

From the darkness, Sadie heard something, her head snapping in the same direction as Jessie tried to see what was there.

“Sadie what is it?

“Just keep filming Jess.”

Sadie slowly made her way toward the direction of the sound.

The Reporter: Part 1

The Reporter Part1:

It was the story of a life-time. Sadie couldn’t let that little two bit Janet ruin this for her. She knew she was fucking Rick, but just because she was fucking the station manager didn’t give her the goddamn right to rub it in her face.

Sadie had found out about the city wide Quarantine from a few source’s. She’d paid off a few to give her the exact location, and even, shared a little back seat blowjob with the local Cops on Patrol for the night to open the area for her and her Cameraman Jessie.

Sadie wasn’t going to let Janet win and get the story before she did. From what she’d learned, the first building to go under Quarantine was the Skyrise in the center of the city. It was an apartment complex but, it shared space downstairs with a few stores and even a florist shop. Sadie was a bit confused why that place had been first but, she was here to report her story not play Myth buster.

The air was crisp, cool, and chilled her to the bone. It was always shit living here she burned in the sumer and froze her ass off in the winter. Sadie sat in the passenger seat of the news van, as Jessie drove toward the Quarantine zone. Her thin denim clad legs crossing and uncrossing as she sat there. Her long dark hair pulled into a neat ponytail, her shape form hidden beneath the white tank top and maroon colored leather jacket.

She had to look good and look good she did. “Jessie, what do you think happened?” Jessie shrugged softly as he drove. “Don’t know.  Quarantine could be anything chemical spill, Leak in a tanker, anything.” “Yeah but that doesn’t answer about the building being first Jess.”

Sadies dark brown eyes peered through the windhsield as the building came into her sight. It was tall, cold, and reflected the lights of the city in its glass form. It didn’t take long for Jessie and Sadie to set or for the camera to turn.

“This is Sadie Jones. Reporting live inside the Quarantine zone. We’re here first on the scene, to report about the Quarantine and show you viewers everything. Jessie my cameraman and I will be venturing inside the building to show you

Saide was excited. She was gonna really nail Janet this time. This was gonna be her big break. Little did the young report know, that once she went inside her real top story would being.
